I have over 20 years experience within NHS Libraries and joined ESNEFT in July 2019 as Library Lead. In 2022 took on the role of Assistant Director of Libraries and Digital Learning, with general oversight of the library, e-learning, training and study hub provisions within the trust. 

Main responsibilities: 

  • Strategic over sight of Library Services

I am responsible for managing resources, collection development, developing services in line with Knowledge for Healthcare and Trust values, providing evidence searches and training on databases, liaising with suppliers and other information professionals in the region.

I joined the NHS in 2016 as the Library Assistant at Colchester.  After a couple of years away from ESNEFT, I have re-joined the Trust as the Deputy Librarian.

Assistant Librarian      

I am responsible for information skills training, clinical information support, literature searches, cataloguing, stock management and outreach/promotion of the library service.  I provide day to day management of the library on-site at Ipswich Hospital and help to manage online resources including those provided via NHS Athens.  I can assist with complex enquiries regarding information about health, e-learning, and online resources such as UpToDate, Clinical Key and NHS Athens.

I am the Assistant Librarian based in Colchester Hospital. I have years of experience working in public library service. I joined the NHS in the beginning of September 2022.  I had no idea of how welcoming the staff at Colchester and Ipswich Trusts will be - so far I’ve been greeted with respect, kindness and encouraged to progress and develop my work skills further. I am looking forward to meeting wonderful NHS staff in training sessions and making their research experiences a positive success.

I joined the Trust in Feb 2021 as a Library Apprentice.  I passed my apprenticeship in May 2022 and I am now the Library Assistant at our Colchester Site.  Currently studying for a Masters in Library and Information Services Management (distance learning) with the University of Sheffield. I will normally be the first face you see when you visit Colchester Hospital Library, so come say hi.

Patient Information Officer

Zivile joined the ESNEFT Library services team as a Patient Information Officer in March 2024. With a background in teaching and logistics, she brings strong organisational skills to her role.  

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Processing new patient information leaflets, during various approval stages
  • Sending out review reminders of current PI leaflets
  • Maintaining spreadsheets 
  • Adherence to PIF standards 
  • Dealing with general enquiries around PI leaflets 
  • Working with teams across the trust to ensure PI leaflets are processed correctly and maintained
