Current Awareness

Current awareness means keeping updated with the latest research and evidence in your area of interest.

There are a number of resources to help you:

The easiest way is to sign up for KnowledgeShare and receive a regular update by email.

You can also set up alerts to specific searches within the Library and Knowledge Hub.

Plus take a look at the subjects on CASH: Current Awareness Service for Health

KnowledgeShare is a targeted current awareness service. It provides you with regular personalised updates via email, on subjects relevant to your professional interests. It is an excellent way of keeping up to date with new evidence and information in your areas of interest. The alerts include resources such as guidelines and systematic reviews along with selected journal articles and reports.

You choose how frequently you would like to receive the email updates.

Many NHS libraries use KnowledgeShare, so if you are joining ESNEFT from another Trust and already have a KnowledgeShare account please get in touch so we can arrange for your details to be transferred to us.

To register go to the KnowledgeShare page.

ESNEFT Libraries have produced a Covid-19 Bulletin since April 2020. This covers guidance from NICE, professional bodies, Royal Colleges, NHS and international bodies. Selected research is also included.

The current bulletin can be accessed below.

Please contact us for copies of older bulletins if needed.

The bulletin is published every fortnight, on a Friday. Email us if you would like to be added to the circulation list.
